Support event for male survivors of domestic abuse |
||
|
Men and boys are a key part of the Mayor’s Police and Crime Plan for West Yorkshire. That’s why we’re supporting an event for male survivors of domestic abuse on 3rd June 2026 at Wakefield Trinity RLFC. It’s in the LED Studio Lounge, DIY Kitchens Stadium, Doncaster Road, Wakefield, WF1 5EY between 12:00 – 1700. There will also be lunch & refreshments at midday. It will bring survivors together with key partners across the region to improve understanding and raise awareness of services available across the county. It will include personal accounts of lived experience alongside inputs various agencies. From West Yorkshire Police, the District Crown Prosecutor and Courts to the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise, they will all be on hand to offer advice and information. If you would like to attend the event, please email consultation.PC@westyorks-ca.gov.uk with your full name and organisation (if you are representing one). Please request if you would like to host a stall. West Yorkshire’s Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime Alison Lowe OBE said: “Male survivors of domestic abuse in West Yorkshire deserve to be seen, heard, and supported. “Our services exist to break the silence, challenge stigma, and ensure no one has to face abuse alone.” | ||
